“During the holidays, no child or parent, no family or individual should ever be hungry”.

The Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank usually assists over 1,400 people locally, of that 360 are children. This year with the current Covid-19 situation, many having lost jobs, these numbers have grown.

Over the last 5 years Wasaga Beach Elementary schools, together have collected and donated over 34,000 items. Birchview Public School and St. Noel Chabanel Catholic School, teamed up again for this 6th year to collect donations for the Food Bank. This year was a little different as volunteers could not be in the schools at this time. We adapted and utilized our School-Day system for donations.

On Thursday, December 17th SNC presented a cheque in the amount of $2128 to the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank.

SNC raised $2128 for the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank! Birchview Dunes raised $2049. The community of Wasaga Beach won!! Thank you to everyone helped contribute to this worthwhile event!
